Circus Comes To Town

Two Perfomances Planned Saturday Evening

SIDNEY, NEBRASKA— For more than 100 years the Shrine Circus has been entertaining families across the nation. This weekend, area residents will have two chances to catch the sites and sounds of the of the big top.
The Tehema Lodgepole Valley Shrine Club is sponsoring performances at 4 and 7 p.m., Saturday, June 5 at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds.
The circus features exotic animals such as the elephants and tigers as well as human acrobatic feats and performances.
Children receive free admission to both performances. Adult tickets can be purchased from local businesses and Shriners prior to the event as well as at the gate the day of the performances.
Proceeds from the two performances will be used to assist local families and children traveling to Shriners Hospitals for Children throughout the U.S. The hospital network of 22 facilities provides special pediatric care to children 18 and under with no financial liability to the family. The facilities specialize in orthopedic care, burn care, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and cleft lip and palate care.
