The 74th edition of the Carson & Barnes Circus brought almost 100 performers and animals to Hanford's Kings Fairgrounds Friday.
Carson & Barnes started setting up shortly after dawn, transforming the fairgrounds into "Circus City USA."
Performing artists hail from around the world, including Mexico, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Russia and Italy. Acts included aerial trapeze, high wire, motorcycle acrobatic teams, jugglers and clowns, along with performing elephants, camels, dogs and horses.
A portion of the tickets sold benefited Fresno's Tehran Shrine Temple, which helps support Shriners Hospitals nationwide.

  1. This year is the 75th year, not the 74th.
