BILL PRICKETT VISITS--
THE HAMID SHRINE CIRCUS
ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS, JUNE 5, 2011
PART 1
I spent a very pleasant Sunday afternoon, June 5th, attending the Tebala Shrine Circus, Rockford, IL, present by James and Shirley
Hamid. They had help from Belinda (15) , James, the Third, (7) and Haley (2) Hamid. Peter Sturgis was Ring Master and Larry Rothbard
was Musical Director (Keyboard). "Just Larry" (Clark), clown, previously with RBBB, provided enjoyment to all the kids and moms and
dads too. His daughter Addison (6) supervised the clown gags. Irene and Brian Franzen had the Cat act and Elephant act. David
Conners (Shirley's father) worked the Trampline act with granddaughter Belinda (15), grandson James, the third (7), and Julia
Minbva. Jennifer Walker presented her dogs and worked in the cloud swing presentation. I missed the name of the young man that
did the roller act. I probably left someone else out, too. The finale was the Cycletron act. Motorcycle and trapeze artists. This appratues is
usually hung from the ceiling rafters, but due to height limitations, was presented on a raised platform. The crowd, and the Shrine were
thrilled with the show. The Hamid group presente nine shows in three days. All photos Bill Prickett
