Enjoy a trip to the circus as the Moscow State Circus brings its latest and most spectacular show to the Royal & Derngate today.

This sensational extravaganza called Babushkin Sekret is inspired by the legend of The 12 Chairs and features a mammoth cast of Russia’s greatest circus artistes, taking audiences on an incredible journey combining contemporary and classical circus in a way never witnessed before. From the most famous circus in the world, this extraordinary night of entertainment features the beautiful queen of Russian circus, Yana Alievia, on a revolving aerial chandelier. Joining her are The Whirlwind Rubsovs Troupe, who acrobatically catapult themselves at breakneck speed, sizzling skipping sensation The Skakalki 9 and The Doktrov, who fly and spiral in the apex of the auditorium with grace, beauty and elegance.

There will also be high-flying, bouncing and backflipping from Vaisiliov on the Russian horizontal bars, along with hilarious trampoline capers from Professor Balakov, unbelievable roller-skating from flying Veslovski, plus Konstantins German wheel. The hilarious clowns Valik and Valerik will also have audiences falling off their seats with laughter.

The show is on tonight at 7.30pm and is at the theatre until Wednesday.
