Circus to Benefit Simsbury Food Closet

The Circus is coming to town” captures the thrill of the Irving Berlin 1918 song of the same name, as if he could forecast the future: an exciting and captivating circus show of jugglers, clowns, acrobats and aerialists by the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus is coming to Simsbury, Connecticut on Tuesday, March 27 at 8 p.m. at the Werner Centennial Center at Westminster School.
Tickets cost $35 for adults, $15 for 12 years and under, and $25 for students and seniors. Five percent of all ticket sales from the show will be contributed to the Simsbury Food Closet, a Town of Simsbury Social Services program that provides non-perishable food items and paper products, as well as bread items to eligible low-income families.
Every Bindlestiff Family Cirkus show features a “family” of world-class entertainers who perform exciting and captivating feats of circus. Ringmistress Philomena, Stephanie Monseu, co-founder of the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, hosts the grand stage spectacle with the musical accompaniment of Cirkestra, the nation’s greatest original circus-dedicated orchestra. Cirkestra is led by Ringling Clown College graduate and Boston Berklee College of Music instructor Peter Bufano on his accordion.
