Rome circus trapeze artist seriously hurt in fall

(AGI) Ragusa - A South American trapeze artist of the 'Citta' di Roma' circus fell while performing in Ispica (Ragusa). The 38 year-old man was taken to Catania's Garibaldi hospital where he is in a serious condition. The accident happened yesterday but was not reported and only now have the carabinieri been informed. They have launched investigations. According to reconstructions, the acrobat lost grip of his 'porter' (partner in the exercise) and crashed to the ground after bouncing off the safety net. The carabinieri are now trying to acquire any video recordings made by the audience. .
