HOLLY TOWNSHIP, Michigan - The all-new 2012 edition of the Kelly Miller Circus will be in the town of Holly on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, thanks to the sponsorship of the Friends of Holly Township Library. Performances are scheduled for 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Show Grounds on the corner of North Holly and Quick Road.
This year's show features elephants, tigers, horses, and a cast of international circus stars under a beautiful circus big top. The tent raising – done the old-fashioned way by elephants who erect the giant tent poles – is a great free show that will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.  The public is invited to watch.
The Kelly Miller Circus, founded during the Depression, is marking another milestone this year as it celebrates its 74th anniversary. Founded in 1938 by Obert Miller and his sons Kelly and Dores, this traditional tented circus has seen the passing of over half of this century and still offers the same great family entertainment it presented in its humble beginnings.
