Orangeburg, SC--Jo Browning has been coming to the Orangeburg County Fair as a vendor for 40 years, and never gets tired of it.
“I love it,” she said. The 75-year-old owns and operates Jo’s Concessions with her husband, Bobee.
“The people over here know me because I have been here so long,” she said. “I have a lot of friends in Orangeburg. We save our energy all year to come to Orangeburg.”
Browning has been sharing her treats — hand-dipped corn dogs, hot dogs, sausage dogs, french fries and drinks — with fairgoers since the early 1970s.
And she does not plan to stop any time soon.
“People have been good to us even though everything has gone up,” she said. “Overall, I thoroughly enjoy this fair.”
