Winston-Salem, NC-- Nothing says fall like the fair!
And that means the Triad's largest fair, Dixie Classic Fair in Winston Salem. The family fun event is celebrating 130 years this year. It is the second largest agricultural fair in the state behind the NC State Fair in Raleigh.
According to numbers released by the fair, the event averages 350,000 visitors a year. It is owned and operated by the city of Winston Salem.
WFMY News 2 caught up with organizers on Wednesday putting the final touches on games, rides and setups for food vendors.
The Dixie Classic Fair officially opens Friday, September 28 at 11am. It runs through Sunday, October 7.
