BAY CITY, MI —
To say Billy Bob Steinberg's life is a circus is an understatement.

The New York transplant, who now makes his home in Sarasota, Fla., the circus capital of the world, literally makes his living working full time for the circus.

“I am a humor specialist,” he said. “Every day I go to nursing homes, assisted living facilities and hospitals doing programs.”

When he isn't doing his “day job,” Steinberg hits the road playing the banjo, juggling, and doing hand shadow impressions around the country.
One of those stops brings him to Bay City for the fourth “The Vaudeville Show,” playing at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10 on the stage of the State Theatre.

For those trivia buffs, the State opened as a vaudeville and burlesque theater in 1908, then known as The Bay.

Looking forward to rolling into Bay City, Steinberg says the audience will find his show hysterically indescribable, noting his hero is Steve Martin.

Not only does he play the banjo, but a few original one of kind musical instruments as well, including a bicycle built for tunes.
