A little daytime excitement is headed to the area. The Piccadilly Circus BLAMMO! will take over the Mesquite Arena, 1818 Rodeo Drive in Mesquite, on Monday, Feb. 4, with performances at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.
"We want everyone to come have a good time and create memories that will last a lifetime," said Miranda Schlake, circus spokeswoman.
The circus' goal is to bring its unique brand of entertainment to the area and provide families an opportunity to find something fun for the whole family to enjoy.
"We travel all over. This time we are going through Texas, Arkansas, Missouri and up into Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut," Schlake said.
The show will include the Cossack Riders on horseback, the Motorcycle Nitro Cowboys in the Globe of Death, acrobats, animal and several clowns and comedy acts. One of the featured animal acts will include a white tiger.
"We are a traditional one-ring circus. We have been around for more than 20 years," Schlake said. "The show we are bringing to Mesquite is a brand-new show. We have set the show up to be fun for everyone and not just the kids. As part of the show there will be some audience interaction."
As part of the circus' entertainment they will have a kid fun zone set up one hour prior to opening to allow children to pet animals and have photos taken.
"There will be a bounce house and a petting zoo. It's really going to be really fun," Schlake said.
