County Fair Looking To The Future

The Monroe, MI County Fair Board is writing a five-year plan for upkeep of its facilities and future improvements on the fairgrounds off M-50.
The 36-member board has a subcommittee that has met once already to discuss capital projects and other work at the fairgrounds, said Warren Siebath, fair manager. #Among the improvements being eyed are replacing bleacher seats in the grandstand and replacing the roofs over the Women’s Building, Produce Building and the cattle barn, Mr. Siebarth said. Some electrical upgrading also is needed.
