Sarasota is known as the Circus Capital of the World. Since 1927, when the Ringling circus train first rolled into town, the circus has been an integral part of the areas social and economic life. Today, Circus Sarasota and the PAL Sailor Circus continue to delight visitors, while attracting young students and performers from all over the world.
