The Shrine Circus has been at the Civic Auditorium since it opened in 1955.
The Civic will close next year because the city can't afford to maintain it.  For many, Sunday's last show brings back old memories.

"I've been coming every since I was old enough to come," said Stacy Rakosky, "and then ever since we had all the kids, then we come every year.  Every year.  Sometimes twice."
The people responsible for making this a city tradition describe their 84-year-old circus like a family reunion.

Susan Beebe has been part of Shriner's circus for the past twenty years.
"Seeing some of these guys year after year, after year, said Beebe.
"Some of the circus family has been here since I've started doing it and now they have kids, and grand kids that are part of the show."

Dave Morin is all about the tigers and caged motorbikes.
"Oh man, it's a great family experience," Dave said.
"It's a fun day.  I would recommend it to any family to come down."

Shriners has said that the Ralston Arena is a likely location for the circus next year.  Wherever; it has to be big enough for the animal fair Where ponies And elephants give out rides.
