The Tangier Shrine Circus is bringing a piece of the Olympics to Omaha.
The human cannonball, “The Rocketman,” who appeared during the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremonies will appear with the Shrine Circus at the Omaha Civic Auditorium from Thursday through Sunday. He has the physical and mental abilities to withstand the g-force of free flight.
The circus is bringing other popular acts, including Tibor the performing bear, Anna Louise the dancing elephant, clowns and more.
There will be seven public performances — Thursday night at 7, Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at noon, 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Tickets range from $12 to $30 and can be purchased at the CenturyLink Center, the Omaha Civic Box Office, all TicketMaster locations and area Hy-Vee stores. For more information, visit www.omahashrinecircus.com or contact the Civic Auditorium at 402-444-3353.
