ULVERSTONE'S Slipstream Circus will host a World Circus Day next weekend.
Slipstream, renowned for its impressive display of acrobatics, aerial stunts and tumbling, will lighten up the evening with an enormous glow show display.
About 150 children will showcase a variety of glow- themed circus tricks.
Slipstream Circus performer Mallory Priest said the cast had been working on the glow show since the beginning of the year.
"We will have glow juggling balls, glow devil sticks, glow hula hoops, glow staffs and glow bodies as well," Priest said.
Priest encouraged the public to come along and participate in the workshops on offer.
"Anyone can pick it up," she said.
"We will have a heap of circus kids there and our trainers will be there to teach.
"If you pick up a diabolo or hula hoop we will help you to learn things."
A juggling performance will be held with expert Joe Fisher and a fire show will end the evening.
A coffee van and barbecue facilities will be available on the night.
"It's a bit of a family evening. You can bring your picnics and there will be a barbecue there for you," Priest said.
The World Circus Day workshops and glow show are on Saturday at 5pm as a free event in Anzac Park, Ulverstone.
