A TRADITIONAL family circus, with a strong French flavour, is visiting Harlow for the first time.
Santus Circus will present its latest production, titled ‘Trapeze’, at the Showground on Allende Avenue from May 1-6.
It features top-quality international artists from Colombia, Romania, the Czech Republic, as well as Britain and France.
Performances run around two hours, and feature flying trapeze, high wire, knife-throwing, juggling, a mystifying quick-change act, and gentle friendly clowning.
It is organised and presented by brothers Ernest and Roger Santus, who are members of one of France’s most illustrious circus families. They can perform almost every sort of skill and presentation, from hand-balancing and trapeze to unicycling, juggling, and acrobatics.
They have performed across Europe and in Asia, and they’ve won top prizes at the prestigious Monte Carlo Circus Festival.
Prices start from £9, with a family ticket for two adults and two children costing £40. Student tickets cost £5 on production of a current Student Card.
