There’s nothing like the old-fashioned thrills of the Big Top circus – and one of the best known names in the canvas cavalcade is coming to Hemel Hempstead on Sunday.
Jay Miller’s Circus will be pitching up in Piccotts End for its first stop-off in the town for three years, and there are lots of new acts to be introduced by ringmaster Ross Farrer when the show arrives.
Peppi the clown will be providing the laughs throughout the performance, and among the death-defying daredevils who will be showing off their dazzling skills are Hungarian State Circus-honed Jumping Juniors, amazing unicyclist Joel Hatton and superhero Spiderman, putting crime-fighting to one side to demonstrate his dexterity on the vertical pole.
Double act Jodi & Ashli have put months of work into their double hoop routine and returning to the circus life after a break of five years are Budapest’s finest, Krisztian and Zsofia, stars of the hanging perch high above the heads of the audience.
Sunday sees an afternoon show at 4pm, then from Saturday to Wednesday there are two shows a day, at 5pm and 7.30pm, before it’s time to pack up after a final 4.30pm performance on Thursday, June 6. Call 07976 655180 for box office details or visit www.jaymillerscircus.co.uk
