ENGLISH CIRCUS

Circus Ginnett is Coming Back to Wincanton

The show is one and a half hours long featuring some typically circusy individuals, plus one or two animals. Dutch Clown Anton debuts at this show, and Patrick is back with his police dog, Vader, who will prevent him stealing jewellery stashed rather bizarrely in the roof of the Big Top.

Circus Ginnett, who claim they're one of the UK's oldest circuses, have sent the Wincanton Window a press release for their brand new show which they're bringing to Wincanton Sports Ground on the 9th of August (Friday till Sunday).

Anke, also from Holland, will be swinging around on an aerial hoop in the roof of the Big Top, all sparkly with elegance and grace and stuff, and Eva will mesmerise with her ninja glass-balancing skills.

They say their show is "completely up-to-date", but while I'm unsure what they mean it's clear they have a lot of the traditional action going on, too. Read on down for more details that I've interpreted from the press release, and pay attention because somewhere below there are details on how to get a considerable discount on those already reasonably priced tickets.

Daniel Endresz will be riding around on his unicycle, entertaining in that way only a unicyclist can, and Lui, from Hungary, will share with us his frustrating electrical issues as he attempts to keep a lamppost switched on.

The new show sounds like it'll be a good balance (ah ha!) between exciting feats and "up-tempo humour". It should be good entertainment for all ages, and keep everyone amused for the duration.
The normal ticket price is £9 for adults and £7 for children. That's £1 for every 10 minutes, which seems very reasonable. Better yet, tell 'em you heard it here first (the Wincanton Window), and you should get in for only £6! Then you come back here and tell everyone it worked.
