The world is coming to Venice next month for a quadrennial international theater festival that organizers expect will bring hundreds of visitors and an economic boost during the usually slow summer.
"Festival in Paradise" is the Venice Theatre's name for the International Amateur Theatre Festival it will host in conjunction with the American Association of Community Theatre June 22-27.
Twelve theater companies from around the world will each perform twice during the event, which also features lectures, workshops and social events.
