Get out your red rubber noses and magic handkerchiefs. The circus is coming to town, and the clowns have taken over the library….. Well, sort of.
Promoting their Reading with Ringling Bros. program and of course the upcoming circus show next month at the New Orleans Arena, Ambassadors of Laughter Dave and Cherie Gregg paid a visit to some of the local libraries this week.
And the did what they do best; they made the children laugh.

Nicole and Xander Owen show off their clown noses.
Using juggling, jokes and some magic tricks, the couple encouraged children to not only read but to discover, dream and learn.
They made stops at the Causeway, Mandeville and Covington branches on Thursday and in Lacombe and Slidell on Friday.

While in St. Tammany Parish, they announced the Reading with Ringling Bros. program, where children can earn a free circus ticket by simply doing their library reading. Children from ages 2-12 can enroll when they register for the Library’s Summer Reading Program, “St. Tammany Parish 200 Years of Reading”, starting Friday (while supplies last.) Children who sign up will even receive clown noses. For more information, visit http://www.readingwithringling.com/.
