HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- One of the most popular aspects of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's Circus coming to town is the traditional animal walk. That's when trainers walk animals through town to the Von Braun Center.
This year's animal walk is tentatively scheduled for 6 a.m. Wednesday at the Huntsville Depot on Church Street. Because of the constantly changing schedule for the circus, the animal walk time is always subject to change.
This year’s show is “DRAGONS,” which honors the Chinese Year of the Dragon. It features Shaolin Monks, aerial acrobatics, spears and motorcycles flying around inside a globe. All the action builds up to luring a mysterious dragon from its lair for the finale.
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey will also be partnering with the Food Bank of North Alabama to collect canned goods before each performance. Visit fbofna.org for more details about the collection efforts.
