Sharon McCool slips on long plastic gloves in order to stir up the curds and whey which she will make cheese from on Monday at Rosecrest Farms near Adna. McCool also laughed when she said they also use the type of gloves to artificially inseminate their cows on the farm.

Centralia, WA--From flying high on the trapeze, traveling the world with the circus to driving tractor and living the simple life on a Chehalis dairy farm, Sharon McCool has had quite the journey to becoming the cheese maker she is today.
“I’m a bit of a ham and selling my cheese sort of puts me in the spotlight again,” said the 63-year-old former trapeze performer. “Dairy farming is on the endangered species list.”
