Matchetts, as we used to call him, was the Hoxie Show back in the mid-60's when Bill and I first met him. And in later years we used to run into him around Tampa. He was a fine Gentleman, quiet and soft-spoken but a great concession manager and super.

Two Big Top hands were killed by lightning during teardown there in 1898 and the show bought this grave stone marker for them.
