RINGLING GOLD UNIT--TALLAHASSE #1

Claire Redding cares for Ashton Redding, 2, and oldest son Caton Redding while helping her band conductor husband with his circus chores. The circus life can be both exhilarating and exhausting. Long hours traveling, large noisy crowds and time away from friends can take a toll. But for those who choose the lifestyle, there is no other way of life. Cassidy Herriott gives a little love to her two miniature horses after exercising them on Thursday. She and her mother have been on tour with the circus for years and love the life. #5 Suzie, a 46-year-old elephant, creates a footprint after stepping in paint during the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus pre-show Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at the Civic Center in Tallahassee, Fla. After drying, the print was given to a child in the audience at the start of the show.
