(Springfield) -- Hundreds of people experienced the magic of the the Shrine Circus today at the Shrine Mosque.
It was vibrant and colorful compared to this gray day with dozens of acts including acrobatics, talented canine performers and Siberian tigers.
The circus travels more than 40,000 miles each year in the United States and Canada. The season lasts 42 weeks, during which part of the time the circus has two units on the road.
The show runs march 8 through march 18. Advance tickets for kids are $11. Adults are $15. You can get those tickets at price cutter grocery stores.
The cost will be a dollar more if you buy at the door. If you go on Shriner hospital nights, $2 of that ticket will benefit children's hospitals.
