Circus Removes Boxing Kangaroo Due To Protests

(Oxford, MS) The circus is coming to Oxford but Jack the Kangaroo won’t be boxing or “play-fighting” with a clown.
Advertising for the match brought criticism from PETA and others so the event was cancelled.
The owner of Star Family Circus said the boxing match is a clown routine and in no way cruel.
The kangaroo will still be a part of the show, just not in a boxing match.
The circus is February 13th at the National Guard Armory.
