Yesterday I had a visit from Syracuse Circus Fans
Don and Barb Kowell.
It was so nice of them to stop by and we had a couple of hours of
great conversation.
Don and Barb and their kids used to visit the Cole Show and Don every year made
a video of the show for all of us.
Don it was nice seeing you again and I look forward to the material you'll be sending!
Hope you made it home all right!

GREAT CIRCUS PARADE (From Mike Naughton)

BUCK NOLAN

The only discription of this photo says Great American.
Buck had been around many shows including Beatty-Cole, Hoxie and many others.
I remember one Sunday morning We were in a small town in
south eastern Virginia.
Buck and Bill and I walked into a local resturaunt for Breakfast and you
could have heard a pin drop.

RINGLING FIRE #1 (From Fred Hoffman)

These are assorted scenes from the horriffic fire that
took place on July 6, 1944 in Hartford, Conn.
Many lives were lost.
To this day Conneticut has some of the strictist fire regulations in the country.

Photos were taken by Robert D. Goof, Allentown, PA circus fan.

FANTASTIC!

RAJAH SHRINE CIRCUS, HAMBURG, PA

I just found out yesterday that the Rajah Shrine Circus in
Hamburg PA concluded Sunday.
Couldn't find any fotos of this years show but this is the best
I could do. This one's from 2005.
Show was produced by Hamid and Fred Hoffman tells me that
John Kennedy Kane (Eggroll) was the only circus clown.
Of course the Shrine Clowns were there.
Fred said that Eggroll was doing a terriffic job of old time clowning.
This picture looks as if Hanneford was doing this date in 2005.

BILL-BO THE CLOWN 1959

Here's brother Bill at the 1959 Flower Mart Parade
in Salisbury, MD doing his part to help The Cristiani Show promote a date.

Of course being the good 16 year old circus fan there was no charge.

SARASOTA COUNTY FAIR (Sarasota Herald-Tribune)

Gary Stears of Sarasota and his son, Malakai, 4, enjoy an icy treat on a warm, sunny Saturday at the fair. The weather has been a boon for the event. STAFF PHOTO / CHIP LITHERLAND
The fair, which kicked off Friday, has a new midway vendor, Belle City Amusements, which has brought 53 rides and about 50 food and game booths to Robarts Arena and the adjacent fairgrounds on Fruitville Road.
Longwood-based Belle City took over the last two years of a contract with The Mighty Bluegrass Shows, a Tampa-based midway provider. This is its first year. The fair runs nine days, and includes many of the traditional trappings: rides, funnel cakes, and even a pygmy goat show. Saturday provided more great weather -- with sunny skies, a high around 80 degrees and a light breeze.
Belle City and the fair board are in the early stages of negotiations for another contract to provide midway services to Sarasota in coming years.
The fair remains open until March 22.
