These are assorted scenes from the horriffic fire that
took place on July 6, 1944 in Hartford, Conn.
Many lives were lost.
To this day Conneticut has some of the strictist fire regulations in the country.

Even today, 65 years down the track, you can look at these pics and be overwhelmed by the enormity of this tragedy.
