The Carson & Barnes performers are from around the world and acts include aerial trapeze, high wire, motorcycle acrobatic teams, jugglers and clowns, along with performing elephants, camels, dogs and horses.
Special for 2010 is their award winning clown and world-renowned "King of Comedy" Alex, who will entertain the audience with high bounding feats on the trampoline.
"We are thrilled to be hosting the Carson & Barnes Circus for the third time. Habitat has had great success in the past, selling out all of the shows," stated Barbara Oswick, Circus co-chair. "We look forward to providing an evening of family entertainment for the Portage County community." Parents and children are encouraged to watch as Carson & Barnes sets up circus morning, beginning about an hour after dawn. Over two dozen types of exotic and domestic animals are unloaded and made available for viewing. Adding to the excitement, is the final and most popular experience of all, as humans, elephants and technology work side-by-side to put up the circus Big Top.
Habitat for Humanity of Portage County is hosting the Carson & Barnes Circus to support their mission to end substandard housing in Portage County by building simple, decent homes for low income families.
