INDIANA — Western Indiana’s three county fairs each have their own flavor, but the reason for the fairs remains the same: providing a venue for 4-H youngsters to exhibit their projects.
"It is all about the 4-H program and the kids," said Amanda Smith, extension educator in Fountain County.
Becky Holbert of Vermillion County agreed.
“The fair unites our county in support of the kids,” she said.
Jean Akers of Warren County said the fair there is the most-attended community event in the county.
"It is not only for the 4-H," she said. "It is a chance to meet with family and friends."
