Whether you come for the food or for the fun, check out these three options from The Playlist and invite your carnival-loving crowd out for a good time.
Kent County Youth Fair
The opening ceremony of the 2013 Kent County Youth Fair is at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Kent County Fair Grounds, 225 South Hudson, Lowell. Then, from Aug. 5-10, it’s a nonstop schedule of carnival rides, bingo, tractor pulls, and live entertainment all surrounding livestock judging and sales.
Country singer Mandy Alexander, a bluegrass music concert, and a youth talent show are some of the highlights of this year’s festivities.
Fair hours are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. with most of the barns closing at 10 p.m. There is no admission fee but there is a charge for parking ($6/day or $18/week). A full schedule of events and coupons for rides can be found at kcfg.org.

We opened at 5:00pm and have a very good crowd since that time. Sure hope it holds up for the remainder of the week.
