Come one, come all, to the Rand Show circus

It’s not just the Easter Bunny who’ll be in town this Easter. Roll up for one of the Rand Show’s most popular attractions: the circus.

(South Africa)--
Once again,South Africa’s biggest family expo welcomes Brian Boswell’s Circus to the showgrounds at Nasrec. And your Rand Show ticket will gain you free access to all the action taking place in the centre ring.
From 6-15 April 2012, let Brian Boswell’s lionesses, elephants, horses, prancing poodles, acrobats and clowns entertain you in four hour-long shows each day. At 10.30am, 12pm, 2pm and 3:30pm, there’ll be a parade of colourful performers and amazing animals taking to the ring.

Get a ringside view of elephants Wankie and Tembi, as handler, David Marais, walks them through their routine, and keeps score in their elephant-sized game of football played with a giant beach ball.

A much-loved act is Miss Rita and her group of young white and brown lionesses who spend most of their time playing but promise to throw in a trick or two.

Jane and Georgina Boswell are bringing out their adorable Welsh ponies and miniature horses, who’ll show off their nifty equine footwork, while perky pigs and skipping poodles will delight the crowds with their antics.

Of course, there aren’t only furry performers at Brian Boswell’s Circus. The daring Quantum Leap troupe will perform breathtaking double somersaults during a daring aerial cradle trapeze routine. See feats of balance and strength on the high-wire and the foot juggling routine of Miss Ola, while clowns Pixie and Dumbo will delight the audience with their famous “boxing routine”.

With all these thrills and spills, don’t be surprised if the kids want to come back again for a repeat performance!

Although with a host of other free entertainment, including bird and reptile shows, circus workshops, fun and games at the Kids Theatre, the SANDF displays, and a new-and-exclusive Canadian high dive act, not to mention one of SA’s largest fun fairs, you might just be a little pressed for time.
