THIS BLOG IS DEDICATED TO MY TWIN BROTHER, BILL DYKES (1943-1995). WE WERE NOT ONLY BROTHERS BUT PARTNERS IN BUSINESS AND BEST FRIENDS!AND TO ALL THE "BUTCHERS" THAT HAVE PASSED ON TO THE BIG LOT IN THE SKY!
31st BIG APPLE CIRCUS "Play On" edition open Thursday, September 25th in Dulles Center, VA. Location is just seven miles from Dulles Airport. Forepaugh-Lubin Tent was one of the Special Groups that had an invitation to attend the Wednesday, Sept. 24th Dress Rehearsal. Members and Friends came from seven states to attend the Dulles Dress Rehearsal. One huge change this year is the location of the great BAC Big Top Band. I could return a few more times just to see the band and the way its placed . BAC has some things to work on prior to the BIG Lincoln Center Opening next month...No doubt Paul Binder will have it ready for the Lincoln Center Opening. Watch for BAC in the MACY's Thanksgiving Day Parade with a reported two wagons from Circus World Museum in the parade..Forepaugh-Lubin's very own Barry Lubin will once again be featured in MACY's Day Parade...check out bigapplecircus.org for complete route and don't miss this great show.
