Mayor joins the circus

OUTGOING Lord Mayor of Sheffield Alan Law has been having fun in his last engagements before passing on his chain of office.
Coun Law was special guest in the big top at a performance of Zippo’s Phoenix Circus yesterday.
A spokesman for the circus said: “We were delighted to welcome him.”
Coun Law - who is being replaced as mayor by Coun Sylvia Dunkley on Wednesday - told performers and staff of the all-human show the circus was ‘great’. He also posed for pictures with clown Fips and ringmaster Joel Hatton.
The circus remains in Endcliffe Park until Tuesday evening before travelling to perform in Lancaster
