THIS BLOG IS DEDICATED TO MY TWIN BROTHER, BILL DYKES (1943-1995). WE WERE NOT ONLY BROTHERS BUT PARTNERS IN BUSINESS AND BEST FRIENDS! AND TO ALL THE "BUTCHERS" THAT HAVE PASSED ON TO THE BIG LOT IN THE SKY!
"SPIN THAT FLOSS!"
1992, Dumont, New Jersey - Yankee Doodle Circus - biz so busy that I had to spin candy - one of the few times that I had to spin floss to help out the concession department. I am too slow to spin candy.Mike
Paul Guthiel took the photo; I wasn't at that machine more than 10 minutes, I remember it was during the show.
ReplyDeleteCharley Van Buskirk was announcing that year. It might have been the year that Barry Lubin "Grandma" was with our show, we went to Clown College in 74.
Dick, we only use bags for floss, not cones; been doing it this way for years as the photo shows.
Thanks Mike!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see a show owner working concessions!
