Saratoga Springs, NY: At this year’s Saratoga Festival of Trees, Don Erlenbush’s popular circus and carnival display will again offer an exciting attraction for spectators of all ages. The mini circus was an overwhelming success at last year’s festival, and this season’s display is even more elaborate, featuring longer train tracks, more carnival rides, and a grander configuration. The elaborate display, which took over 40 years to prepare, includes 400-500 different items, including tents, people, rides, booths, trains, and animals, all carefully designed and hand-painted. The charming Erlenbush and his unique display have caused a local sensation for the past seven years at the Saratoga County Fair, and Erlenbush says that all of the excitement, praise, and smiling faces that he experiences motivate him to keep coming back.

Erlenbush, who will be manning the display, says that it will be especially exciting for festival participants to run the trains themselves. For the nostalgic enjoyment of the older folks, vintage circus posters line the display walls. Erlenbush claims that he is not competing with Santa Claus, but the display’s dazzling colors, details, and charm will surely prompt the joy and delight of Christmas morning.

The Saratoga Festival of Trees is an annual fundraiser benefiting Catholic Charities of Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties. The 17th Annual Festival will be held from November 28 to December 2, 2012.
