BOURNE,MA---Bourne Recreation Authority members and Gallo Ice Arena Manager John Hickey said the recent visit by the Piccadilly Circus was successful all around.
Authority General Manager Barry Johnson said he is seeking payment of an additional $8,079 in expenses from the circus, which likely will be invited back to Gallo at Sandwich Road next year.
Johnson said the billing would cover rink staffing during the circus, unanticipated costs and a dumpster.
Hickey said the circus arrival and performance were uneventful. “I think it was a nice event,” he told the authority board. “No problems. The parking lot was full.”
Authority members complimented Hickey on the “immaculate condition” of the rink even after a circus
