Ringling Bros. circus hits Norfolk, Hampton
The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is wrapping up its run in Norfolk and preparing to head across the river to Hampton.

It's a week of circus tricks, as high-flying acts stun audiences at the Norfolk Scope and the Hampton Coliseum. Look for performances at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday, 11:30 a.m., 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 and 5:30 p.m. Sunday in Norfolk. The all-new "Legends" show will open in Hampton on Wednesday, featuring mystical creatures like unicorns, a Pegasus and a woolly mammoth. Watch the elephants march up Armistead Avenue from Rip Rap Road to the Hampton Coliseum around 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Watch for updated information on the walk at hrticket.com. Hampton shows are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Thursday. There will be additional shows at the Hampton Coliseum Friday, April 18 through Sunday, April 20. Go behind the scenes for an "Animal Open House" before most shows see how the animals live, eat and play. The pre-show is open to all ticket holders. Tickets cost $15 to $59.75, plus facility fees.
