SALISBURY — The Wild West is bounding into the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.
Lone Star Rodeo Company’s “Bulls, Broncs & Barrels” tour returns to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center for two nights on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 25-26.
The event, dubbed “an American tradition,” will include traditional rodeo staples from bull riding to barrel racing.
“We’re very excited for the Lone Star Rodeo to return to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center,” said Kristen Conn, director of marketing and public relations. “The Fowlkes family has selected Salisbury as a host for its rodeo competitions for well over a decade, and we look forward to their visit every year. The excitement never weans, as each Lone Star Rodeo draws strong competitors who are sure to keep audience members on the edge of their seats.”
The Lone Star Rodeo Company is a family-run operation based in Crofton, Ky., and produces more than 40 events annually.
The action gets underway at 7:30 p.m. each night. Children under age 10 may participate in pre-show events on the arena floor.
“This genuine rodeo event offers a lineup of fan-favorite contests, including bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, brahma bull riding and cowgirls’ barrel racing,” Conn promised. “In addition to the competition, Jessica Blair — a trick and roman rider — will awe fans, and of course the rodeo clown will keep everyone laughing.”
Tickets for the event, sponsored in part by Cheerwine, start at $10. Upgraded VIP tickets are also available for $22.
