SOUTHINGTON, CT- Meriden officials have asked Southington to host the Cole Bros. Circus this year.
Town Councilor Dawn Miceli said Meriden had asked Southington to host the circus this year only, due to construction at Meriden's Hub site, which had hosted the circus for the past few years.
The town-owned drive-in movie theater on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike is being looked at to see if it is a feasible site. Miceli said the town is at the very beginning of the process of possibly hosting the circus, but would like to be able to help out a neighboring town.
