People made their way to bleacher seats in a commercial building at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds. The scent of frying funnel cakes filled the air, spurring tummy rumbles and open wallets.
The show was ready to begin.
“LAAADIES and gentlemen, CHILDREN of all ages...,” the announcer’s voice rang out. The circus had come to town.
The Circus Pages show, specifically. The traveling troupe was at the fairgrounds last weekend for a run of performances.
Among other attractions, attendees got to see acrobatic, equestrian and dog shows, plus lions. Youngsters had the chance to win elephant rides.
Produced by Jose Pages, the circus showcases draw from three generations of the performing Pages family. For more information, visit the website www.circuspages.com.
