The Funsters Heading Back to Delmarva Chicken FestivalGroup Will Perform Event's Closing Concert on June 22
Georgetown, DE - May. 28, 2013 -- When the 64th Delmarva Chicken Festival gets underway on Friday, June 21, at Byrd Park in Snow Hill, Maryland there will be attractions for all ages, including a slate of live performances that range from blues to oldies and from contemporary to classic rock.
The event's closing concert, set for 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, will feature local favorites, The Funsters. It would be hard to find a band that has more fun than The Funsters, a ten-piece group that has been playing for over 20 years. More than just great musicians, these performers are also friends. The result is a special spirit and camaraderie on stage that sets them apart from other bands.
The Funsters' vast song list provides plenty of flexibility that allows them to customize a night of music to fit any event. Their audience, whether at a festival, a fundraiser, or other special event, can expect to hear anything from Frank Sinatra to The Rolling Stones, The Beatles to Al Green. With a three-piece horn section, four lead vocalists, and a guitarist that has toured the world with Joe Cocker, Scandal, and Paul Young, it is uncommon for any band to match the musical breadth of The Funsters.
Like all entertainment at the Delmarva Chicken Festival, The Funsters' concert is open to the public at no charge.
The Delmarva Chicken Festival, a family entertainment tradition on the Delmarva Peninsula since 1948, will offer a two-day schedule that includes, in addition to musical entertainment, a varied menu of delicious foods, an arts and crafts show, home and trade show, a 5K run, car show, carnival rides, children's activities, and much more. All activities will be staged at Byrd Park in Snow Hill, Maryland, on June 21 and 22.
The festival is sponsored annually by Delmarva Poultry Industry, Inc. (DPI) and will be hosted in 2013 by The Town of Snow Hill, the Snow Hill Chamber of Commerce, and the Snow Hill Chicken Festival Committee.
