GRANVILLE TRIMPER
Granville Trimper, who died early Monday at age 79, was vice president and manager of Trimper's Rides on the Boardwalk in Ocean City. He was a member of the resort's Town Council for 18 years, a Worcester County commissioner and briefly served as interim mayor of Ocean City. (Times file photo)
Granville Trimper was undoubtedly one of the most influential and successful Ocean City citizens in history. His ability to manage, persevere, execute and inspire made him a very respected, recognized, and valued leader in Ocean City. Thanks to his dedication and commitment, millions of families have been able to experience a world like no other at Trimper’s Rides and Amusements, and the town owes him a debt of gratitude. It is people like Mr. Trimper who make life fun, bright and worth while. Thanks Granville, you will be missed dearly.
