LAS CRUCES — Cowboys and rodeo queens, award-winning livestock and produce, top country entertainers, arts and crafts, downhome food treats, plus a crazy hat competition, lumberjacks and a hypnotist.
It's all happening at the Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo, Wednesday through Oct. 7 at the Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds.
See the sights and bright lights, catch some entertainment, or maybe go for the glory yourself and trot out your best agricultural arts and crafts.
This year's headliners are Kevin Fowler on Thursday, Rick Trevino Friday and on Saturday, The Texas Jamm Band, featuring members of George Strait's Ace In The Hole Band.
Other attractions will include the Timberworks Lumberjack Show and the comedy stage show of Rickard Barker: The Incredible Hypnotist.
