Bobby Roberts
Bobby started Bobby Roberts Super Circus in 1993 but had been born into the circus business started by his late Father and late Uncle back in 1944, Robert Brothers Circus where he was taught many aspects of performing in the circus as a clown, acrobat, and wire walker bareback rider. But his love was for all animals, especially elephants for which he became world renowned travelling all over Europe with the Royal Command Elephants and has appeared before Royalty on numerous occasions.
With the natural passing of his elephants he concentrated on the training and showing of his Arabian horses, ponies and exotic animals of which he is very proud.
The day to day running of such a large organisation becomes more difficult with each year with mountains of paperwork regarding Health and Safety and Local Authorities.
But Bobby loves his circus and circus life and has no aspirations to do anything else. As well as his animals Bobby enjoys making and repairing harnesses and is a qualified electrician and welder and known the world over for his love of visiting scrap yards looking for bargains.
He is a proud member of the Grand Order of Water Rats, a show business organisation and along with his son, Little Bobby are the only two circus 'people' to hold such a position.
