PLAIN CITY, Utah — The Arts Council is bringing excitement to this town by sponsoring the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus. The circus will come to town July 8 at the Town Square.
Two performances are scheduled, one at 5 p.m. and one at 7:30 p.m. Each show lasts 90 minutes.
Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is a one-ring big-top circus that has been featured on National
Explorer TV series as well as many other television programs, including On the Road with Circus Kids, a Nickelodeon special featured on the Nick News Program.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Plain City offices. Advance ticket prices are $6 for ages 2-12 and $8 for adults. Children younger than 2 get in free. On the day of the show, prices are $1.50 more per ticket.
Between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. on the day the circus comes to Plain City, the community is welcome to come see the raising of the big top tent and stay for a tour at no charge. Residents can meet the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus family and have a walking tour of the circus grounds. Those on the tour will learn about the history of Culpepper & Merriweather and meet performers.
