CIRCUS STARLIGHT is back at L’Eree aerodrome.
The first show was yesterday, for invited guests only, but it is now open to the public every day except Mondays until Sunday 11 August.
Acts include strongman, martial arts, oriental dancing, comedy and clowning, feathered-friends and canine capers.
Organiser Gill Valler, who also owns much of the equipment, said everyone had been looking forward to this year’s event. ‘We first came over in 1989 and have been back virtually every year. I think we have only missed about three.’
Miss Valler said the circus had a few new acts this year including Ramajam the clown’s tower of glasses and a performance called Defying Gravity, with Jason O’Shea, who has previously performed on Strictly Come Dancing Live.
