GREAT FALLS - The Montana State Fair will soon be rolling into the Electric City.
Taking place July 26th through August 3rd, the fair is an important part of the Great Falls tourism industry.
Vendors and entertainers are beginning to set up their stands and make last-minute preparations before the gates open on Friday.
The economic impact from the Fair is significant, and this year big name musical guests coupled with horse racing is being used to lure in visitors.
Lisa Bracco, the general Manager of Montana ExpoPark, says that every year the fair tries to bring new attractions that will entertain fair goers.
She noted, "In Funsville we have some great new entertainment. We have a tennis event where people can come and look at tennis and how to play tennis, and we have Animal Alley which is an exotic animal, kind of like petting zoo, but I don't think you'll be touching all of the animals. And then we have a zipline coming and so that's really different to the Montana State Fair."
Bracco says the musical guests are often fair favorites and among the main attractions.
Horse racing also remains a popular event, drawing horse enthusiasts from around the state.
