Hereford,UK--MORE than 1,000 children from around the county will be enjoying a day of circus fun next week.
Circus Starr – which supports disadvantaged and disabled children in their communities – is coming to Hereford Racecourse on Tuesday.
It means that children from more than 30 different schools and support organisations will be enjoying some circus magic on the date.
Local businesses have been supporting the show by buying tickets which have been donated to local children’s charities, support groups and special schools.
Circus Starr director, Neville Wilson, said: “The children we invite to our shows face many challenges. Some have physical disabilities or learning difficulties, others have life limiting illnesses or are living in refuges.
“For all of them, life is a struggle and few ever have the chance to experience a live show such as ours. We simply could not do this without the support we receive from Torquay businesses from the big corporations to the sole traders; every donation we receive makes a difference to these children’s lives.”
Any surplus funds raised by the show are donated to a local charity and the nominated partner charity for Acorns Children’s Hospice.
